Hello! We are Andrew and Holly. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and learning more about us as prospective parents.

Our story began when we met in high school, at Holly’s friend's birthday party. We went to the Homecoming game together and clicked with each other right away. After two weeks of talking and hanging out, we decided to start dating. Our love really blossomed in the nine years we were dating. Dating that long helped us understand each other better with every laugh and obstacle we faced together. We finally got engaged and then married in the summer of 2018.

After we got married, we knew we wanted children. After trying for years, we were told we wouldn’t be able to have biological children. Being parents is our dream and we cannot wait to share our love with a child through open adoption.

Financial Support

Expectant mothers who choose to make an adoption plan may qualify for some level of financial assistance during their pregnancy. However, each person's situation and specific needs are different. Your adoption social worker can help you determine what level of assistance you qualify for and deserve. Many expectant mothers qualify for financial assistance to cover basic pregnancy and living expenses, including but not limited to - transportation reimbursement, utility assistance for phone, water, and electricity/gas, maternity clothing and supplements, etc.

FAQ’s about placing a baby for Adoption

I'm considering giving my baby up for adoption. How much does that cost?

It won't cost you anything. If you choose to place your baby for adoption, all of your medical and legal fees will be covered and you may be eligible for financial assistance with other pregnancy-related expenses.

I'm experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and don't know who the birth father is. Can I still place my baby for adoption?

Yes. Even if you don’t know the identity of the birth father, you can still choose to make an adoption plan. However, every adoption situation is different. The adoption social worker you’re assigned to will get to know you and your story first, and then guide you through the process accordingly.

When is the right time to talk with an adoption professional?

You can make an adoption plan at any point in your pregnancy, even after the baby has been born. But, it's important to start the process as early in your pregnancy as possible. Connecting with those resources will allow you to gain access to important medical services, including prenatal care, to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

When I create an adoption plan, will I get to choose who is in the room with me during delivery?

One aspect of your adoption plan is the "Hospital Plan" an outline of how you'd like your hospital stay and delivery to go. You can craft this on your own or with the help of your adoption social worker. But everything is up to you. You’ll be able to choose who comes to the hospital with you, who is in the room with you during delivery, and how much time you’d like to spend with the baby before signing the final papers.

How much contact will I have with the adoptive family after I place my baby with them?

As part of your adoption plan, you'll determine whether or not you’d like to have an open or closed adoption or something in between. Open adoptions may include phone calls, messaging (via social media, email, or text), and/or periodic visits each year. Closed adoptions may include no contact at all or annual updates provided to the birth parent(s) by the adoptive family. Each post-adoption relationship is different and can vary based on what an expectant mother chooses in her adoption plan.

February 2025

Most of February was spent being sick. Andrew would be sick and as he got better, I would be sick. We still tried to keep our Valentines Day plans, which was making a home cooked meal together and spending time together. We don't usually go extravagant with gifts. Spending time with the one you love is more important to us than anything fancy. We learned a few people looked at our profile, which made us super happy and excited.

March 2025

We started writing in a journal every month last November and I (Holly) decided to post it on our blog. In our journal we write a monthly letter to our future child. We want them to know how every month we patiently wait to see them; how we can't wait to spend time with them; how we love them already and we don't know anything about them. We want them to know we think about them every month, every holiday, and every activity we do.

Holly:

Now that it's March we have a few life updates. My birthday is this month! I share a birthday with my grandma so my whole family goes out to eat. We also have daylight savings, which I don't like losing sleep but I love having the sun out later in the day. It feels like we finally made it through winter and heading towards spring/ summer. We moved the washer and dryer from the basement to upstairs and I know that doesn't sound exciting, but I promise it is when there are two flights of stairs.

We finally finished our profile. My sister-in-law held a mini photo session for us, because I couldn't wear "black rimmed glasses" for some of the photos. My everyday glasses are black rimmed so that was nice. Thanksgiving came and while spending it with family I thought of our future little one and all of the holidays we would spend together.

I despise the cold. Thankfully our cats, Ella, Max, Gus, and Eris keep me warm. Christmas came and we of course thought of our future little one(s). They are going to be so cute in their little snow suits and little hats! Our nephew gave the whole family a cold. I habe the picture where I most likely contracted his bug. Winter isn't great but thinking about future snow angels, sledding, snowball fights and holidays makes it worth it.

The new year is here! We went on vacation to the Dominican Republic with Andrew's sister and her husband. It was so much fun. We went parasailing and scuba diving. I ended up getting really sick the last full day before we went home, which was not great. I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation now. We like to go on vacations but nothing beats being home.
